Community, Art & Abolition

Caroline Davis and The Brooklyn Artery invite activists, artists, writers, thinkers, and families to discuss incarceration and its relation to works of art. Davis' new album, Captivity, was inspired by individuals who kept the hope alive during various forms of imprisonment, and she will be sharing some of the recording for the first time. Those who attend are also invited to share their expressions of art and music that engage with incarceration, prison reform, and abolitionism. The space will then be open for conversation and future collaboration among light refreshments.
