In this workshop, cast members from the upcoming variety show, Bitter Ambrosia, will give personalized guidance as you learn new choreography created specifically for this class. They will teach you how to move a hoop as an extension of your body and how to add emotion and character to your movement.

The workshop is followed by a preview of the hoop acts featured in Bitter Ambrosia, a queer retelling of the Garden of Eden. This show chronicles the origins of the Snake, a fallen angel who journeys through Hell, making revelations about sin, piety, and gender expression at each layer. This rendition subverts the traditional narrative into one of queer acceptance and trans joy.

After the show, stick around for an open jam for flow artists where you can practice your skills and build community with fellow performers. This event is excellent for performers who want to strengthen their stage presence, flow artists who are looking to enhance their fluidity, and anyone who wants to learn hoop choreography from a professional.
