Learn how to turn your favorite fridge magnet into something interactive using NFC tags—the same technology behind tap-to-pay systems!

In this beginner-friendly art+technology workshop, we’ll share the stories behind our fridge magnets, learn how NFC works, create a simple website using mmm.page, and program an NFC tag that can be attached to the back of a magnet. The final result is a personalized interactive object: When you tap your phone on the fridge magnet, it opens the webpage you created. It can be a portal to personal memories, or a meaningful, unique gift for a friend.

No coding experience or laptop required. Just bring a fridge magnet and an NFC-enabled phone!
