Live Art & Figure Drawing Session: Our inner landscapes

Join us for an evening of live art and figure drawing that invites you into the fertile space between motion and stillness.

The session opens with a butoh-inspired movement performance—a practice in which the body is not performing movement, but being moved by deeper forces: memory, breath, gravity, emotions, energy. After this somatic unfolding and quiet activation, the model will offer a series of poses, inviting us to observe, interpret, and draw from a place of deep attention.

Held on the cusp of August, this session honors the ripeness of late summer—a time of expansion, connection, and embodied expression where we can soften into creativity. Together, we’ll explore how drawing can be both a solitary act and a shared ritual, as well as a slow blooming of our own inner landscapes. All are welcome, from seasoned artists to curious newcomers.

All materials will be provided / refreshments available.
