Dorée is a band based in NYC, sometimes performed solo by songwriter Dorée Gordon, or backed by various local musicians and friends from Gordon’s past and present. Their songs have elements of rock, pop, jazz, indie, and folk music, showcasing Gordon’s deft guitar arrangements and clever lyricism delivered through earnest, virtuosic vocals. Dorée regularly gigs at venues and DIY spaces in New York, and has toured throughout the U.S. The current Dorée lineup includes lifelong friends Izzy Da Fonseca (drums) and Inés Hidalgo (bass), as well as Gordon’s sister Jolee (vocals). All four grew up together in Manhattan and have been playing music together since childhood, resulting in a beautifully meshed musical language, whose only possible fault is too much laughter.
On 5/9 at Brooklyn Artery, Dorée lineup will be Gordon and drummer Izzy Da Fonseca.

Ian Davis: Rock Band is an outlet for NYC-based composer/guitarist/songwriter Ian Davis. The music is part carefully constructed, part free; sections of intricate synthesizer and guitar counterpoint devolve into playful, noodly noise. The group has released two records, Passing Phase (2020) and Alternate/Opposite (2024). The current lineup features Julian Cubillos (guitar), Adam Brisbin (bass), Michael Coleman (keys), and Jason Burger (drums).
“Tape warbling pop that sparkles with a breezy disorientation, yet feels grounded in this plane of existence” – Dan Goldin at Post Trash
“Blunt depth that is often sorely missed in the music of today, or even yester-today” – Adam Schatz at Talkhouse
