Zine-Making Workshop

Zines are social media! This workshop promotes zines as a real-world form of expression and connection in a world increasingly lived online. Zines bypass barriers to publishing, amplifying individual voices through immediate creation and direct distribution. Plus, zines don't spy on you!

Together, we will explore a zine collection and discuss the role of zines in community networking, archiving, and world-making. We will experiment with different cut-n-paste layouts, collage and design techniques, and demystify the printing and collating process. Participants will gain the skills to create their own zines directly from a "master copy" to a photocopier, without the use of a computer. Facilitated by longtime zinester Arthur K. in collaboration with Brooklyn Creative Reuse

All ages and skill levels welcome. Materials provided (though you are welcome to bring your own).

Entrance is $15-30 sliding scale. Please sign up HERE!
